Great Friendship
BOOM! CRASH! Suddenly Sofi woke up and noticed that she was laying on her cold wooden bedroom floor, because she dreamt about when she was 3 years old and a bear chased Sofi. But she thought to herself “It shouldn't be so terrifying this time when I go hiking in the forest with Eva”.
“I am a mature 12 year old. I should know what to do if this again” Sofi thought. But really she didn't know how to survive being chased in the forest by a bear.
Ding dong rang the doorbell. “Sofi, Sofi open the door!” shouted Eva.
Sofi ran to the door as fast as she could. Click went to the door, as Sofi opened it. Eva saw the nice neat house and plants on every corner of the corridor. “Eva” Sofi said that she felt glad and excited, “Sofi” they both hugged each other. “Are you ready to go hiking?”, “Yes, of course,'' said Sofi with a trembling voice. “Then get your backpack and let's go,” said Eva excitedly.
Eva was skipping along, but Sofi was staying behind and dragging her feet with her. Then Eva heard a moan "ug" a quiet voice said "is that you?” Eva said turning around "No, definitely not me, maybe you just imagined it" Sofi said trying to smile. "Could be" said Eva. So from now on Eva walked really close to Sofi so she could hear every breath that Sofi did.
As they entered the forest, Sofi started trembling "Let’s go this way!” said Sofi. That way was sunny, bright, had flowers and birds singing but Eva wanted to go a different way. "No that way" Eva said with a determined voice. But that way was slightly dark and rocky. So each girl went their way, Eva went to the dark path, and Sofi decided to leave Eva and go to the bright path.
As Sofi entered the bright path she heard chirping birds, saw bright green leaves, and sunshine. Sofi could smell some flowers that were blooming– roses, tulips, dandelions and daisies. It smelt better than any perfume that Sofi had ever had, even better than the perfume blooming flowers that her grandmother gave to Sofi on her birthday.
As Sofi walked further into the forest it was becoming darker and started to be a bit gloomy, but for Eva it just became brighter and less gloomy than when she entered. "Why is it getting darker than when I entered?” wondered Sofi. "Why is it so much brighter it's not so adventurous anymore" Eva said in a disappointed voice. But little they did not know the girls were very close to each other.
“I wonder which path I came from the one on the right or on the left” wondered Sofi so she started collecting sticks and started to build a little house out of sticks. The house was small, the size of a toy house for little kids, her house was little, cozy, and had a cut tree stump for a chair. Then Sofi went to search for wild berries deeper in the forest for her afternoon snack. She saw lots of mushrooms that she would have collected, but she didn't. Unfortunately she was allergic to any type of mushrooms. So she kept on looking for berries, she found— blackberries, raspberries and a bit of blueberries.
Sofi came back and realized all her work had been destroyed and her stick house was all shattered. Sofi stopped in her tracks and dropped all her berries on the ground; she could not say a word. It seemed like she was frozen. She started looking around to try and find who broke her little cozy house out of sticks and finally she saw who destroyed all her hard work.
“A Wolf! ” screamed Eva. The wolf was looking right at Eva,— the wolf was gray and had a little white spot on his forehead, his eyes were like bright green emeralds shining in the dark. Slowly the wolf started approaching Eva, like a cheetah about to pounce. Eva slowly started to back off while the wolf was getting closer and closer.
Suddenly, the wolf turned his head back because he heard something moving in the bushes on the left. Quickly, Sofi bent down and picked up some of the berries that were just at her feet. The wolf turned his attention back to Sofi. She reached out to the wolf, her hand was trembling and she was looking at the ground very afraid that the wolf would bite. The wolf came closer like a happy big gray cat and gently nudged the berries out of Sofi’s hands.
